Seasoned Indian Dal


1 cup red lentils 

3-4 cubes Dorot crushed ginger 

4-5 cubes Dorot chopped coriander 

6 cubes Dorot crushed garlic 

1 tsp mustard seeds  

4 tomatoes cut into squares 

3 finely chopped onions 

3 green hot peppers, chopped 

1 tbsp ground cumin 


2 tbsp olive oil 

1 cup water 

Salt to taste 



1. Cook lentil in water until soft. 

2. Heat oil in frying pan, add onions, ginger, hot peppers and garlic, and fry until onions turn golden.
3.  Add coriander cubes, cumin, and tomatoes. Cook until tomatoes are well done. 

4. Add water and boil for about 5 minutes. Stir in lentil and salt. Add coriander and remove from fire. Serve hot.
